When I didn’t know how to deal with the loss of my father… You found me

When I was lost in my faith… You found me

When I lied in my bed restless, unable to sleep… You found me

When I lost my appetite… You found me

When I could hold food down, and vomited on Glenstone and Sunshine yesterday… You found me

When I didn’t know how to deal with the pain of a lost loved one… You found me

When I didn’t know how I would make it in life… You found me

When I wasn’t sure what being a real man was all about… You found me

When I don’t have direction… You guide me

When I fall… You catch me

When I hurt… You heal me, Jesus, you heal me

When I feel like I have no one… You tell someone to call me

When I feel lethargic… You give me life

When I want to feel bitter… You soften my heart

When I forget you… You always remember me

When tears fall from my eyes… You wipe them dry

Inspired by the song “you found me” by the Fray

Lord, you give me the strength to persevere when times get tough. You give me joy at all times that leads to true happiness even if I am sad and broken at times in life. Life is not easy but it is worth it. Every day is an opportunity to be better than yesterday. Every day is a chance to make an impact on someone’s life. Every day one door closes and another one opens. The past is meant to learn from but not to dwell on. You can’t change what has happened, but you can determine what will happen. Life is an opportunity to truly live the life God called me to live. A life of selflessness, loving oneself to love others friend or foe, forgiveness, compassion, patience, gentle but stern, self-control, and self-denial. Just because everything is permitted, doesn’t mean everything is beneficial. Never give up, and always have hope because, in Christ, the impossible is possible.
