I invite you to Synopsis 360° on Tuesday, March 2 where we will discuss the documentary “Why We Hate.” Lest you be put off by the title of the documentary, let me tell you where I would like to go with the one-hour discussion.
Episode 3, Tools and Techniques of Hate, is difficult to watch so I get it if you opt-out. But I hope that you don’t.
We are in a tenuous position in our country now where anger seems to rule the day, and friends and family struggle to have a civil conversation. Memes scream out one side, while comments blast the “memer.” The internet has unlocked our anonymity, and therefore our bravery, as we make our case. It doesn’t have to be this way, but as they say in Twelve Step programs, until you accept the addiction you haven’t a prayer of making a change.
I found this documentary a way for me to accept, or at the very least, listen to arguments about why we find ourselves in this difficult position as a country and as a world. But watching the documentary alone doesn’t help.
We need to work together to figure out how we, as individuals and as Americans, can do better, can influence change.
We have an hour on Tuesday. I would like to spend the first half-hour discussing insights you have (see the Study Guide), then move on to what actions we might take to effect a change in our own mindsets and possibly others’.

I hope that you will consider joining our discussion AND those that follow!
I’ll be there!
See you then!
Thanks for your spirit and interest in this. I don’t like the dark parts of this either. I want to try to keep us out of the dark by looking forward. I appreciate your support
I will be there and will be brave in listening to Ep 3 Tools and Techniques of Hate. Knowing how important emotional contagion is, and doing the diligent work to become emotionally mature as a person can be, I look forward to meaningful conversation about this important topic. Thank you so much for leading off the first of Synopsis 360 2.0, Carol!
