Shut away in a cabin
Deep in the woods
Enjoying the simplicity
Of homemade goods
Not a soul around for miles
Living humbly off the land
Pickin’ berries and wild mushrooms
With my own bare hand
Melt the snow, heat the water
Wash the clothes – one by one
Dry them after by the fire -Or
Hang them in the morning sun
While I listen to the sounds
Of the early morning birds
As they repeat their melodies
That I playfully link to words
Dennis…Once again you have found a place for me where my poetry could feel “at HOME.”
Thank You, Thank you, Loreexx
So would I…Thank you Eva. I appreciate your lovely comment. Peace, Loreexx
I’d like to live there seems so peaceful and serene but then I love the outdoors. Beautiful imagery here..xx
