The finest emotion of which we are capable is the mystic emotion.
~Albert Einstein
Women have long been the “Keepers of the Mystical Flame of Life.” Female Intuition is an innate gift. Women gathered herbs to heal the sick and protect the tribe. They invited Higher Powers to intervene for family prosperity by invoking the Power of Prayer, Meditation, Dreams, Art, Dance, and Music. They enlightened and educated the community with the Power of WORD. They celebrated mysticism.
What is mysticism? Nobel Peace Prize recipient Dr. Albert Schwitzer says, “Mysticism occurs whenever a human being sees the separation between the natural and the supernatural, between the temporal and the eternal, as overcome.”
We honored, celebrated, and shared this innate female power during a Dreaming Healing VIDEO Podcast with four ordained ministers from First Unity Campus in St. Petersburg, Florida. They shared their insights into mysticism, Female Intuition, Law of Attraction, and techniques for connecting to “Source” to allow for Spirit Expressing.
The VIDEO Podcast is posted below for your viewing pleasure. Join us as we go back to the future to reconnect with our Inner Female, Mysticism and Spirit Expressing.
These highly qualified Unity Reverends, Influencers, and Instructors explained how they share their personal and unique profound female expressions in workshops. They teach others how to connect with the mysticism of Sacred Dream Doors, Word Power, Sound Birthing, connecting deeper to Higher Power through Guided Meditation, and much more at a Unity two-day retreat December 11th -12th, titled Women’s Mystical Spirit Expressing Retreat. What are some ways we can connect with the mystic within us to allow our soul to express itself? One answer is using your non-dominant hand to receive messages from Source. Rev. Carolyn Ballenger is a recently ordained New Thought Minister through ILLLI (Institute for Leadership and Lifelong Learning International) at first Unity of St. Petersburg, Florida, says, “Get quiet and listen.”
Reverend Carolyn teaches women to use their non-dominant hand in any writing exercise to receive messages from Source. Her technique leads you in a meditation that “allows yourself to open up to feel and hear a personal message from Divine Spirit.”
Writing with our non-dominant hand allows us to receive a word, or words to guide us in the months ahead.
When I tried this writing technique with my non-dominant hand, I found it to be a unique way to overcome writer’s block. When researching this technique, I discovered it might also improve your intelligence by shifting your thought pattern from the dominant side of your brain to the non-dominant side for a more profound bi-brain experience. This theory has been tested and found to be true.
According to Albert Einstein, “The test of a first-rate intelligence is the ability to hold two opposed ideas in the mind, at the same time, and still retain the ability to function.”1
How are sound and light a vital part of Mysticism, and how can they help our spirit express?
Reverend Serena is an ordained Metaphysical, New Thought Minister, and a Cosmic Sound Shamaness who incorporates crystal and brass singing bowls into healing arts sessions. Rev. Serena says, “Light Language and Cosmic Vibrational Sound Healing is a way we can connect with our soul expressing.”
According to Science Daily, Scientists have known for years that specific wavelengths of light in certain doses can heal. Still, they are only now uncovering exactly how it works, thanks in large part to three UWM faculty researchers, including Chukuka S. Enwemeka, dean of UWM’s College of Health Sciences, who is internationally known for his work in phototherapy.2
Sound has an ancient mystical kinship with meditation and healing. According to Psychology Today, a study published in the Journal of Evidence-Based Integrative Medicine found that an hour-long sound meditation helped people reduce tension, anger, fatigue, anxiety, and depression while increasing a sense of spiritual well-being. Research suggests sound is a powerful tool to reduce pain, anxiety, and more.3
As a Cosmic Sound Shamaness, Rev. Serena has seen this mystical healing happen during her workshops of incorporating crystal and brass Singing Bowls and Light Language into a healing arts session. “It works!” she says.
How else can we use mysticism can create an energy shift?
Rev. Marya Flurnoy is a Science of Mind Minister at First Unity who teaches Energy Courses, Workshops, and Western Feng Shui. She focuses on supporting and empowering others in being and seeing the love that they already are. She says, “I developed a process, Energy Release and Transformation (ERT), which I teach in my book The Energy of It All — Tag You’re IT.” Her workshops focus on Transformational Energy Tools for Today: Shifting your Paradigm, Parts 1 and 2.
So what is transformational energy, and how does it work? According to Energy Education;
Energy transformations are processes that convert energy from one type (e.g., kinetic, gravitational potential, chemical energy) into another. Any type of energy use must involve some sort of energy transformation.4
“We need empowerment and transformational tools we can use in our every day, our personal, and professional life,” Rev. Marya says. The process of Transformational Energy can be as simple as rubbing your hands together to make them warm- kinetic energy (the energy of motion) to thermal energy (contained in the motion and vibration of its molecules). Imagine having a mystical toolbox for daily use.
What is the science behind the mysticism of dreams and nightmares? It’s said that we dream every time we sleep. Both are standard features of sleep, but the complexity of them still baffles researchers.5, 6. Even the basics of the hows and whys of dreaming remain a source of mystical intrigue.
Some theories suggest that dreams help your brain process the information it pulled in during the course of your day while helping you retain other memories. Others believe dreams have symbolic meanings and can be used to predict future events. I have been a life-long dreamer, and dreams have been a part of my mystical toolbox. They have been both symbolic and literal with words and touch and saved my life many times, as I shared on the Dr. Oz Show. Dreams are the mystical Doorway Divine Guidance proved in published medical research papers written by Chief of Radiology at Duke University Medical School Dr. Larry Burk. 7, 8
As a Green-beret Army brat, I have traveled the world…and collected masks
My masks have always helped me unmask my mystical dreams to find the hidden pearl of wisdom within them. Imagine combining the wisdom of your unconscious mysticism in dreams, tapping into your whole brain with bi-brain exercises, transferring energy and sound for healing. It is not hard to d because that is why women are so mystical. We embrace our imagination to celebrate mysticism. I have seen mysticism practiced worldwide and in countries that are much older than the United States. It exists, is part of the healing process of many cultures, works, and is primarily led by women, the keepers of the Mystical Flame. Evelyn Underhill explains it as, “Mysticism is the art of union with Reality.” Evelyn Underhill was a Catholic writer and pacifist known for her numerous works on religion and the spiritual practice of Christian mysticism. Are you ready to embrace your mysticism? There is no better time than right now!
