As a voluntary Exhibition Steward at the award-winning Kings and Scribes Exhibition, together with colleagues, I take great pleasure in guiding visitors from all over the world around the exhibition.
The Exhibition includes the Morley Library with books dating back to the 1500s and the awesome 900-year-old Winchester Bible which took one scribe five years to write. On the third floor, the Triforium literally takes you through history from the Roman era, King Alfred the Great, the Anglo-Danish era, and to William the Conqueror. The Triforium provides graphic information on how this 1000-year-old icon was constructed.
Of note, there is much information about Queen Emma, Great Aunt of William the Conqueror and the only queen to be queen twice and the only queen to have a mortuary chest in Winchester Cathedral.
Winchester Cathedral has a warm, welcoming atmosphere of friendliness, calm, peace, serenity, tranquility, and Divinity.
It is an honour to be able to share Winchester Cathedral’s awesome website with my BizCatalyst 360° community of friends. I had the pleasure of giving Dennis Pitocco (founder of BizCatalyst 360°) and BizCatalyst 360° wife Ali a tour and as they confirmed, it was truly awe-inspiring.
