A DECADE+ OF STORYTELLING POWERED BY THE BEST WRITERS ON THE PLANET

WE DON'T DO IT ALL, BUT WE DO IT ALL "FOR GOOD"

BE PART OF THE LEGACY

TAMPA BAY • FEBRUARY 23-24 2026

This FINAL encore experience will be unlike any other. Because like everything we do, it's been "reimagined" from beginning to end. It's not a virtual or hybrid event. It's not a conference. It's not a seminar, a workshop, a meeting, or a symposium. And it's not your typical run-of-the-mill everyday event crammed with stages, keynote speeches, team-building exercises, PowerPoint presentations, and all the other conventional humdrum. Because it's up close & personal by design. Where conversation trumps presentation. And where authentic connection runs deep.

Why Are Certain Conversations So Difficult?

Certain conversations can be difficult for a variety of reasons, and these reasons can vary based on individual perspectives and circumstances. Here are some common factors that contribute to the difficulty of certain conversations:

  • Emotional sensitivity: Some topics are emotionally charged and may bring up strong feelings for those involved. This can make it challenging to discuss them calmly and rationally.
  • Conflict of interest: When individuals have conflicting interests or goals, it can be difficult to find common ground or reach a resolution. Conversations about competing interests may become tense and challenging.
  • Lack of understanding: Misunderstandings or a lack of shared knowledge can lead to difficulty in communication. If the parties involved have different perspectives or information, it can be challenging to convey or comprehend the intended message.
  • Fear of judgment: People may avoid certain conversations due to a fear of being judged, criticized, or rejected. This fear can hinder open communication and make it difficult to express one’s thoughts or feelings honestly.
  • Power dynamics: Conversations may be difficult if there is an imbalance of power between the participants. Unequal power dynamics can create an environment where one party feels hesitant to express their views or concerns.
  • Cultural or language barriers: Differences in cultural backgrounds or language proficiency can lead to misunderstandings and miscommunications. It can be challenging to convey and interpret messages accurately when there are cultural or language gaps.
  • Past experiences: Negative experiences from previous interactions or unresolved issues can create tension in current conversations. Emotional baggage from the past may influence how individuals approach and engage in discussions.
  • Lack of trust: Trust is a crucial component of effective communication. If there is a lack of trust between individuals, it can be difficult to have open and honest conversations.
  • Complexity of the topic: Some subjects are inherently complex, and discussing them may require a high level of expertise or understanding. This complexity can make conversations challenging, particularly if participants have varying levels of knowledge on the topic.
  • Inability to empathize: Difficulty in understanding or empathizing with the perspectives of others can hinder effective communication. Empathy plays a vital role in navigating challenging conversations and finding common ground.

The good news is that while we may not be able to eliminate the stress entirely, we can take steps to reduce it and approach difficult conversations with more confidence and ease. Addressing these challenges often requires patience, active listening, and a willingness to understand and respect diverse viewpoints. It may also involve creating a safe and supportive environment for open dialogue.
