That first breath
Sudden flutter
Body spasms
Cries shudder
Just responding
To the the world
Oh why out here
Is it so cold
For some of us
Our births were fine
Others though
Were out of line
To a mother
Who is loving
Little babies
Most becoming
For some beings
Who weren’t planned
From the start
They are damned
Who are these people
Making love
Little babies
They don’t think of?
If it happens
You can chose
But in the end
You both lose
If life to you
Is so sacred
Who are you
Stop the hatred
When you admit
It is satirical
Your birth alone
Is a miracle
All the words
In the first years
Are the thoughts
Repeat for years
In all the progress
And development
Who raises you
Is your incumbent
Who does teach you
Should want more
Than what was handed
From before
A hundred years
A million fools
People are forced
With many rules
What do we know
And what we’re told
But do we speak
And act so bold
That fear rejection
Denies much truth
To every parent
We want proof
When they don’t know
And refuse you
They manufacture
Ignorance too
And so repeating
It continues
Closed minds of leaders
Ignore these clues
The little hearts
That beat in you
Mothers arms
Hold like glue
Fathers fear
And want obeying
No child of theirs
Shall stop praying
But in the midst
Of broken ordinance
Nothing goes
To accordance
When laws stay put
And do not change
Equivocal?
The mind’s exchange
The little babes
That leave their nest
Arrest the world
With eagerness
Until that time
On that one day
The laws of old
Will kill their way
For who you are
And where you’re from
Will determine
What is done
In this world
They want authentic
Then ridicule
When you announce it
When you speak truth
It fires with power
And greedy people
Want more each hour
Out of the mouths
Of innocents
Words outlive
From deaths moments
Minor crimes
Misdemeanours
The one who kills
Is the meaner
Let’s be real
Promote domestic?
I find this rather
Just pathetic
When its unjust
It takes a movement
So many laws
Need improvement
This is why
It’s happening
When after learning
You don’t do a thing
I question freedom
Look at the rules
Am I but one
Of many fools
That heartbeat
That pumps in you
At some point
You must grow into
When you were born
You were told too
But as you die
You ask what did you do

BE PART OF THE LEGACY
This FINAL encore experience will be unlike any other. Because like everything we do, it's been "reimagined" from beginning to end. It's not a virtual or hybrid event. It's not a conference. It's not a seminar, a workshop, a meeting, or a symposium. And it's not your typical run-of-the-mill everyday event crammed with stages, keynote speeches, team-building exercises, PowerPoint presentations, and all the other conventional humdrum. Because it's up close & personal by design. Where conversation trumps presentation. And where authentic connection runs deep.

Being a mother was the greatest gift ever given to me. Although I wish I chose a different father for my blessings, having them made me a better, more self-aware person. They gave me strength and forced me to make uncomfortable changes in my life for their betterment. I’ll forever be grateful for their lives and the way they helped shape me into the person I am today.
That you for your words. They made me think. They made me cry. And they made me reflect. Such a beautiful way to energize my day.
JoAnna, just saw this now… I too feel the same. 2 beautiful daughters… I gave them all I could under my own bad circumstances… I did all my best t make it through… one of the most profound moments to me was that when my 9 year old daughter said to me…” how could you do this.” In reference to our family breaking apart…she saw her daddy removed by the police… I was torn but said to her..” what kind of mother would I be if I stayed in something so wrong….it’s not right to be treated this way…I never want this for you”. Oh it was hard… and the story continues…right into the path of another narcissist waiting…. to fill the void when they were gone…but t(acts another chapter
Overall… I’m out and free… healing took time… my daughters are grown and I’m so happy to say that what they gave to me was by far the hope and strength I never knew I had.
Ok I’ll stop there… you got me thinking now too… blubber me.. thank you so much for sharing here JoAnna. We are enough, we matter. We are here together!
Oh, Paula, Very profound and moving. Most urgent question of all “What did you do?” Breaking free of cycles of ancestral traumas and the limiting beliefs that create this traumas. How important to heal and transcend all that may have happen from the moment we were born to this moment right now. Thank you for your powerful, thought-provoking poem. May all people experience freedom, soul liberation, safety, dignity, and deep inner and outer peace as we find our way to the deep connection in our hearts broken opened by grief, loss, and a yearning for fresh, new pathways of being human and compassionate.
My gosh Laura, you are amazing and so inspiring. I too hold the hope for love and peace encounters amongst all who suffer…and we all suffer. It’s not to compare but just to share. You are a tremendous strength to draw upon and I am so glad I have found you in this journey.
We all have our days. Here for you and you for me.. we lift eachother up. Thank you so much Laura! Your presence is one that makes the world a greater place to be. Thank you🙏
Paula beautifully said, and Life is precious at any age.
This is so true…thank you so much Lynn!
Every precious moment! 🙏
So often Paula we live our lives thinking we have a sort of forever when all we have is ‘now’.
thank you for this nudge! There is much work to be done.
You are right Laurie. It’s time to roll up the sleeves some more. The time is NOW.
Love it. Thank you my dear! Love your spirit! Love you❤️🙏
Paula, your words whisper to my heart of life and the journey we take. The distance between a child first breath to an old wise persons last breath. Strong Ink my friend.
Larry, Thank you so much. That is a very great complement from you and I’m truly appreciative of your time to read and interact with everyone that you do. I honestly am just going my own pace now so I can truly engage…but the creativity is where I want to stay most… does this make sense?
Life is this unequivocal morph … it seems so long and forever as a child… and the time is so short in the older years. We turn around and everything is different,,, how did I get here.. what just happened? I lost a lot of living and I’m making up for it.. if it helps another then it was worth it.
Your words are always so eloquently mastered and grab my attention.
My reading list is practically all Larry Tyler🙏🙏
Thank you again for being here!
Hello Bharat..oh wow.. that is a great complement . Thank you so much for reading this .. it was written and I sat on it for 2 weeks… it was that kind of write up … sometimes releasing a piece of work is like giving birth…lol.
In all seriousness I thank you so much for your time my friend. Very good to see you! 🙏🙏.
Have a wonderful weekend!
From birth until death, life, rather the meaning of life, so well-explained; your diction is not just superb, but deeply inspirational as well. Thank you so very much, Ms. Paula, for sharing the beautiful, powerful, as well as introspection-forcing words.
Warm Regards, with A Prayer For ALL

I replied and just noticed it’s as a separate comment so I’m just letting you know. Thank you my friend🙏
