The big problem I am dedicated to solving is bringing an end to dehumanised and toxic workplace environments.
I have seen and experienced the damage caused to individual lives and to businesses in such environments. Anybody who has had to endure a toxic workplace will be able to relate to the impact on both physical and mental health. Nobody should have work in such conditions, it is inhumane and unacceptable.
There is a better way.
We can humanise our workplaces, we can choose to treat people fairly, with dignity and respect.
We can create places where people feel safe and are able to thrive and be their best selves. We can point to the full benefits for both business and for the individual people that work in them. We can choose to use business as a place to heal divisions in society, support improved individual health and wellbeing, and be a force for good in the world.
All these things are very real choices before us. We can choose to build the kind of organisations we want our own children to work in. That is something worth striving for.
