What About World Peace?

What seems like foreboding circumstances sometimes is the needed incubation for soul, heart, and mind to align.

This time is Mother Nature’s way of waving her parental hand….. saying “ go to your room, come out when you’re ready”.  We are being disciplined as her children. We are forced to spend this time alone….and reflect… what do we do when sent to our rooms?  And do we all learn from this?

On a larger scale to me this is time for #humanity to seize the moment where there really is an introduction of #peace and harmony…  we need to enter our rooms and self-discipline… We obviously were not doing this…Mama Nature has her ways.

A world collectively fighting for one thing.  To just survive.

The moment we have now to actually see world peace is what I  feel strongly about right now. In all of life I have heard many wishes for this to be, the prayers repeated and contestants that wished for…pomp and glamour made it a fashionable wish…   but to actually know what it is and what it might look like.. has to be what I see right now.  A world collectively fighting for one thing.  To just survive.  The birthright of dignity in humanity… I cannot think of anything else that be delivered in any other way… we have to think and see, be open-minded and accept the bad to see the good….  how can this not be an opportunity but to see how we as humans need to respond to mother nature’s gift….an answer to our prayers.  God in all his glory delivers…we are being called to attention.. and like soldiers.. must do our call of duty..  like never before we are in the same battle.

There is a collective notion here, the inherent need to see the beauty in the storm. What and how will we pray for after this depends on how we deal with things now. What we thought we needed was overcome by what we wanted. This was so convoluted. Some now see that what they needed was always there.

Does anyone else see it this way⁉️ Share your thoughts in the comments below…let’s talk. It is our number one #job in #humanity to help one another. Have a wonderful day and thank you for reading/viewing, my friends.

In days of past

Repeating scenes

So many rushing

What did it mean

And now it’s like

The world outside

Is in our homes

With us inside

When reaching out

We are vulnerable

Being authentic

Is most honourable

What we now all have

Is the same paradigm

All the earth

At the same time

So much mumbling

We have heard

Many people

Speak their words

Leaders, preachers

Beauty hunters

All want world peace

But have no answers

I am a deep thinker, lover of thoughts, and prolific writer sharing my words. In sharing, I am caring. I am a member of the human race with an appetite to motivate, inspire, empower, and provoke thinking. I am compelled to a vision that we are all here for a reason, life is like a deck of cards... “My cards. My deal. Life is learning the game!” #opism What is OPISM? I have come up with this term as my nickname is Op and they are my own quotes representing a moral doctrine belief system. Thus...Op+ism=Opism. #opism. My professional experience is disbursed across industries from financial services and sales to that of personal and emergency care. As one who has trained and coached, mentored, and taught; it has become a passion within to witness and feel joy in the achievement and success of others that I have been associated with. I am a lifelong learner and have created and facilitated various training materials. It is through such experience that I discovered the power of positive feedback in both professional and personal manners. I am self-disciplined, accountable, determined, humble, loyal, and adaptive; but above all, I value my integrity! I am a decent human being. It is with my greatest pleasure to share with others the power of positive words.

  1. In order to build a society and a better world we must has to start from the present reality. It must be clear what we really want to change, without the usual ideological abstractions, which often have little to do with reality. Keeping in mind that society (and therefore the world) also changed as a result of our personal choices, the way to handle the personal and social relationships, protecting and enhancing kindness and sensitivity, reflection and creativity, what is balance, harmony and beauty. The revolution we need is that to start first of all by the individual and then must point to a real improvement and change in society as a whole. A conscious revolution aimed at a real paradigm shift, and the building of a society truly balanced and harmonious. A better world is made of better people. And each of us can be the best person.

    • I’m so glad to read these lines Aldo,
Everything you say is true. We hopefully are more mindful of our own power to make change happen. I know it won’t be perfect as that does not exist. We can aspire to be better and continue to add to the world what is needed. As long as we do not give up.
Thank you so much for this conversation. I really appreciate your insights!
      Have a great week!

  2. Absolutely mesmerizing; A Great Piece of Inspiration; An urgent need to put in motion our individual efforts towards Peace that just started to unfold in front of our eyes! I could go on, and on, but would resist the temptation. I see an amazing poetess here, that holds the key to our emotions hiding somewhere in the labyrinth of ‘Me First.’

The way I see it, and I might be wrong, but the notion of World Peace has its foundations in each one of us. Until and unless we strive for peace, it is hard to expect it from others.

To address the comment by my very dear friend, Joel Elveson, I see the elements you have mentioned simply as the disruptors that test our guts now and then. They challenge our inborn love for each other. These elements may be dangerous to the Nth degree, yet they give us a valid reason to combine our forces, and prepare to override their already failed ambitions. The current Global Calamity has brought all humanity together. Is it not one of the greatest unexpected plus points to ponder, not to talk of the immense benefit to our environment by way of reduction in the use of fossil fuels? We already see diminishing clout of the always vicious OPEC countries, constantly gouging us, to no end.

    Thank you, Ms. Paula!

With Warm Regards, and A Prayer for All

    • Oh wow! This is such a complement from you. I’m truly honoured and humbled here.
There’s always a stark moment before we publish that enters into the equation.. the “ what if” question…if it isn’t going to be accepted. I slowly am adjusting to this inner argument and pressing the “ send” button at the same time comforting my thoughts with… “it’s ok Paula” And I’m just sharing what I as a human think. I aim to help and that’s justifiable to me. The fact that you have reviewed this so complementarily helps me feel better! Thank you Bharat!
I agree as you say. It is the thoughts within we need to contend with. If we do not see the positive and good on the inside…how on earth will we see it out there? I can use my voice and write the words… if we help but one, it’s better than none. So thank you again Bharat!

Blessings for all indeed, I concur!

  3. Oh, I love the inspiration you’ve offered here, what you notice and see for yourself and with other people in your beautiful words, Paula. What really resonates for me is that an experience of peace begins inside each one of us. What I know to do every day that I am alive on this planet is to keep returning myself to the seat of my own heart and soul so I can exude peace, acceptance, compassion, and take love inspired actions from this place from within. This continues to be a practice that gets easier by the day as I stay more and more connected to the essential self or the Quiet One, or the Inner Fly on the Wall, the Witness consciousness (whatever you want to call it!). I know there’s no longer an inner critic, but rather an inner curious one breathing in and breathing out. Maybe more people are finding a similar place inside themselves? May we become the peace we want to see in the world!

    • Laura, you inspire me, and I’m sure many others too. You bring the spirit from the heart and that’s where I like to spend time too. Peace within is a gift. It is an art, it is a blessing, a gift, a realization… an awakening. The more time we spend there the better it gets. When we are here, others notice.. this is incredible, thank you so much for reading and shining your positive rays! I love sharing in your warmth my friend. Happy Thursday!

  4. Bless you Paula for all efforts toward world peace is a great step.
We’ve been confronted with ourselves, our lives; what we’ve been doing; what we haven’t been doing. This life has become nothing more than working for a living with very little living.
I know that People CAN live in peace, they have for centuries in places throughout the world, Muslim, Jewish, Christian. I’ve seen it with my own eyes in the souks of Istanbul as only one example. It is the political leaders throughout the world who lie and cheat for their own political gain and now the media is part to blame for we can’t trust it. In fact it is implicit in the continuation of many facades. We have a lot of work to do my friend. Keep sounding your horn. I’ll sound mine.
    and keep praying.

    • Oh Laurie…yes. We sound the horns together! Thank you for this value added commentary. You are are cherished my sister! Thank you for reading and being a part of the humanity efforts. We can do this. HappY Thursday.🙏. Here with you!
