The business of healthcare is supposed to keep everything running smoothly, but it wasn’t built to withstand a global pandemic like we are seeing now. There have been warning signs for years – the rising cost of insulin and EpiPens being the two biggest canaries in the coal mine – but we have largely ignored those warnings in favor of keeping things moving as expected in the healthcare industry.
