A DECADE+ OF STORYTELLING POWERED BY THE BEST WRITERS ON THE PLANET

BE PART OF THE LEGACY

TAMPA BAY • FEBRUARY 23-24 2026

This FINAL encore experience will be unlike any other. Because like everything we do, it's been "reimagined" from beginning to end. It's not a virtual or hybrid event. It's not a conference. It's not a seminar, a workshop, a meeting, or a symposium. And it's not your typical run-of-the-mill everyday event crammed with stages, keynote speeches, team-building exercises, PowerPoint presentations, and all the other conventional humdrum. Because it's up close & personal by design. Where conversation trumps presentation. And where authentic connection runs deep.

Want to be Happy? – Be Grateful

The one thing all humans have in common is that each of us wants to be happy, says Brother David Steindl-Rast, a monk and interfaith scholar. And happiness, he suggests, is born from gratitude. An inspiring lesson in slowing down, looking where you’re going, and above all, being grateful.

TED is a nonprofit devoted to spreading ideas, usually in the form of short, powerful talks (18 minutes or less). TED began in 1984 as a conference where Technology, Entertainment, and Design converged, and today covers almost all topics — from science to business to global issues — in more than 100 languages. Meanwhile, independently run TEDx events help share ideas in communities around the world.

3 CONVERSATIONS

  1. Many studies have shown that being grateful to someone can improve our well-being, the level of good physical health, can strengthen our social relationships, produce positive emotional states and help us cope better with periods of stress in our lives.
We have to thank also because we want the other person to know that we value what he did for us and, hopefully, so we encourage him to help us in the future.
Gratitude is more than a “social sensitivity”, or a way to make those who have received something to feel better, but reassures others about the value of their help, on the fact that it was actually appreciated, and encourages implementation of more pro-social behaviors.

  2. Thank you so much for sharing this TEDTalk! Very inspiring. Practicing gratitude definitely leads to an internal, deep place of equilibrium. And learning to choose and practice gratitude can become a lifelong practice. Thank you, David Steidl-Rast.
