I am very pleased to share my recent interview with Voyage Phoenix, below.
Today, we’d like to introduce you to Elizabeth R. Urabe.
Hi Elizabeth, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My story really has no beginning or end because it is the gift of Grace, a lifetime of devotion, and surrender to a Higher Power. As a child, I never had anything I wanted to be “when I grew up” I had no specific goals or plans. In retrospect, I realize that I was being guided every step of the way, but at the time, it just felt like I was following an invisible thread of energy that knew where it wanted me to go and which I instinctively knew I needed to follow.
Practically speaking, what did following an invisible power look like in terms of my life choices? I went to college not because I had great faith in education but because I knew I needed to grow up a little between high school graduation and going out into the world. I chose the college not because of its academic excellence but because I believed at the time that I was in love with the quarterback at another college in the same town.
I took Japanese classes instead of Chinese because the early morning hour was more convenient. I moved to Japan immediately after college without even knowing where I was going to be living and without even looking into the stability of the English school where I’d accepted a job. I got engaged three weeks after one outing with a young Japanese man with whom I knew I had a Soul contract and acquired the surname URABE, meaning “Family of Divine Origin.”
I met my spiritual Master in Tokyo in 1985, and my journey began in earnest when I received formal initiation. In 1995, I spontaneously began drawing pictures that I knew were of inestimable power and significance, birthing 350 of these Spirit children in the first four years. The one thing I was positive of was that they had a divine destiny all their own and would not make their way out into the world on a large scale until both I and humanity were ready.
This body of transformational designs has come to be known as Urabe Spirit Art and is currently about 800 strong. Two years ago, one huge step was taken toward the proliferation of these divine energies in the form of a website launched by my business partner, a brilliant young woman from India. Our website is called URABE OFFICIAL and features hundreds of diverse divine products available in six different Urabe Spirit Art designs, all of which can be shipped internationally. The titles of the designs are:
MULTIDIMENSIONAL
SPIRIT DANCE
FREEDOM
RAINBOW SOUL
CASCADING GRACE
DIVINE UNITY
One of the ways you can know if a particular design is one that would be of energetic assistance to you in your own journey is by your degree of resonance with the title!
My greatest and most reconfirming achievement to date was being one of three first place winners of the unprecedented 2011 American Batik Design Competition. And I just recently entered another Batik competition that my intuition tells me will also find me victorious.
Definitely a life of roads less traveled and no rulebook! The bottom line is that, like snowflakes, each of us is an exquisitely unique creation, and the only way for us to find our true place and path in the world is by following our inner guidance.
Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
There are two drastically different ways of perceiving obstacles and challenges. One is through the lens of ego, in which case anything that isn’t easy, pleasurable, and mentally acceptable gets labeled as “bad” and something to be avoided.
The problem with investing too heavily in the idea that we know what is “bad” is that we will always have a counterpart belief system that thinks it knows what is “good.” This sets up a hamster wheel kind of existence where we are endlessly chasing after one thing while simultaneously trying to run away from something else.
There is a middle road, which is much more difficult because so few have walked the path before us. That entails having so much faith in the inner Power – regardless of what we call it – that we are actually able to move through life with a degree of such acceptance and humility that life becomes simple. It is not easy, but it is simple. I realize that this is a very esoteric response to a question that will usually have a lot of mundane, specific answers.
But if there is one thing I’ve learned well over the decades, it’s that manifesting a divinely inspired vision only comes to full embodiment and fruition in divine timing. If we have executed the work and been willing to do AND be everything asked of us along the way, there comes a point where we need to stop, take several deep breaths, and just wait in patience, faith, and trust for the final step to be taken by God. When fruit is ripe, it falls naturally from the tree.
This is where I find myself today. I’ve dotted every “i” and crossed every “t,” and any day now, everything that I have worked for my entire life is going to burst into a symphony of full bloom.
I appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
The one comment that I receive the most from people who view or interact with Urabe Spirit Art is, “I’ve never seen anything like it before.” My use of color, for example, defies all traditional teachings of how color “should” be used and yet works in a way that transcends the mind and understanding. My Art is literally a mirror for the Higher Self.
Because it is channeled directly from the source it is divinely empowered to assist in the spiritual processes of awakening, healing transformation, and reintegration of energy, each design is a living, breathing entity with a purpose and a mission all its own. One of my designs, which is on our URABE OFFICIAL website, is titled DIVINE UNITY. DIVINE UNITY was one of three first-place winners of the 2011 American Batik Design Competition, an incredible honor because Indonesian Batik has been recognized by UNESCO as the finest on the planet.
I drew the DIVINE UNITY artwork less than a year after I began channeling the pictures, knowing absolutely nothing about either Batik or Indonesia consciously. Incredibly, and an obvious testament to the power of both my art and to my connection to the Source from which it springs, I have entered another Batik competition that I feel very strongly will also have winning results.
The design I have entered in this second competition is also on our URABE OFFICIAL website and is titled CASCADING GRACE. The competition results will be announced right about the time of the publishing of this interview, so I hope those of you reading this will check out our spectacular website in the next couple of weeks. What an achievement it will be to be able to say that two of the six designs on our website have received international acclaim!
Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
We are living in extremely challenging times, and things are only going to get harder before they get easier. Never had it been more important than now for each individual who recognizes him or herself as a Spirit Warrior to step up and give an unequivocal YES to destiny.
The art that I have channeled over the past three decades will provide much-needed assistance and guidance as the old systems crumble and we prepare to usher in a new world. I strongly encourage anyone reading these words who resonates with them to visit our website and take advantage of the opportunity to actually have Higher Self energies in every aspect of daily life.
