The question of why some people and nations make it in life and advance whereas other nations do not overwhelm my mind.
My thinking led me to the conclusion this is because developed nations respect the Law of Polarity and allow things to come in pairs. Denying this fact leads to living in a survival mode with all its ill consequences.
Countries that have democracy to express different and opposing opinions allow for the pairing to exist. There is no idea or opinion without opposing ones. The freedom to express those views is in keeping with the law of the universe that everything comes in pairs. Night and day, summer and winter, life-death and ups-downs are examples of the law of pairings. There is always a peak and a trough.
The tension that the opposites create serves as the creative energy to seek more knowledge. This in turn leads to the advancement of nations.
Nations that have no democracy suffer from confirmation bias and groupthink. They remain in their comfort zones and hardly anything changes. They live in survival mode with all its challenges and stress.
Living in survival mode leads to broken heart syndrome. People with broken heart syndrome may have sudden chest pain or think they are having a heart attack as Mayo Clinic defines it. Living in such a condition precludes advancement and creative thinking and moving forward.
What applies to nations applies at all scales. From the individual. To the family, community, and society this is true.
Violating the law of nature is violating life and progress.
I agree with everything and I really like the path you followed to arrive at a conclusion so effectively.
I think we all should believe in the values of democracy and also in the benefits that can come from democracy itself. Two of these outcomes are, in my view, fundamental: economic growth and shared prosperity.
Democracy and economic development are interdependent.
Democracy influences the economic and human development of a nation and economic development can affect democratization processes.
