As the economy steadies, so will pay raises for US employees, according to Mercer’s 2013/2014 Compensation Planning Survey of nearly 1,500 mid-size and large-scale employers across the US. However, salary increases for top-performing employees — about 7% of the workforce — will be higher as companies continue to focus on retaining top talent.
