Unity of Purpose

This essay is not about politics, but a promotion of an ideal scenario, a meeting of minds, standing together, co-operating, utilizing multifaceted experiences, extending and enhancing mutually advantageous allies around the world.

Working together towards a mutually agreeable mission;  reaching out and fostering good relationships.  Equilibrium, synergy, and ultimately empathy and kindness.

Harmony creates strength and unity of purpose.

Citizens of free countries possess a myriad of special skills, attitudes, and experiences across the ‎spectrum. Where there are common elements, joining together as one; not scoring points, but creating proactive, mutually agreed, multi-dimensional ideas which then become a reality.

Consider the potential of the meeting of minds, where those of any particular loyalty, who campaigned for their beliefs,  gathered around and discussed elements where there was genuine synergy. ‎Such an ideal may give the impression of being in cloud-cuckoo-land‎.  Indeed some aspects; fine details where intrinsically in-built traditions may prove challenging to address, but ultimately, working together provides strength and a sense of purpose like no other scenario.

Naturally, trust is required, but this works both ways.

Whether local, regional, or national, I believe it is feasible.

From personal experience within local organizations, I have witnessed differing attitudes and opinions being discussed with distinct enthusiasm  and a degree of self-centered commitment and energy, but on identifying a pathway where there is a common purpose; there is an almost tangible atmosphere of celebration, where equilibrium and mutuality create viable solutions.

Combining intelligence, diverse attitudes and views can bring about a refreshing meeting of minds, moving forward together, much to the relief of those who will benefit from such an approach.

Let us talk with each other not against each other. Of course, there will be differences; we are free-thinking individuals, loyal to a specific ideology, but somewhere in the middle ground a unity of purpose will be found to address specific issues and great minds think alike.

    • Thank you Carol, The essay was prompted by the dramatic events in the USA. The fact that there is now a genuine willingness to reach out and engage with all sectors, is refreshing. I agree, if we all possessed such a view of engaging with everyone discussing potential differences and then move ahead with the agreed projects; everyone behind them. I am happy for you.
