An idea for a workshop started to formulate in my head. This lead my thinking to consider the target market and what the subject would be. An image of a coin showed up and information began to flow giving me the inspiration to share with you in this article the ideas, vision, and tips.
When I think about tossing a coin, I consider if I want to call heads or tails. Heads always feels better to me than tails, but sometimes I like the idea of beating the odds. So, I will call tails.
As the workshop began to take shape in my mind, it became clear that a coin is a representation of real-life choices. Often, we find ourselves at a crossroads in decision-making, it’s like flipping a coin, hoping we make the right choice.
Unfortunately, this can lead to stress, disappointment, fear, and anxiety.
Overlapping this image was the vision of entrepreneurs and leaders who must make important, decisive, and calculated decisions on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. This became my target market for the workshop.
As I allowed the thoughts to interweave, the coin was very strong, becoming the focal point. I could see myself talking in front of an intimate group, somewhere between 20-30 people. It is apparent their attentiveness indicates the desire for answers to a need for tools in achieving success through effective decision-making.
My vision continued to evolve. At the workshop, I asked for a coin, offered someone to determine what heads represents and a different person to give the representation of tails. I flipped the coin, it landed on heads. The relief could be heard and felt throughout the room.
I wonder what would have happened if it landed on tails. I thought deeper about the significance of this process taking place. In our daily lives, there are influences from others in our decision-making. If we are flipping a coin rather than deliberate decision-making, then we are giving away our power. The toss of the coin is a chance and creates tension.
For the group to gain a greater perspective of how powerful strength and clarity in purposeful directing is, I envisioned an exercise for the attendees. Each person was given a piece of paper and was instructed to think of something important to them in the area of success.
They were to write this down in the middle of the paper, circle it and then branch off this word with thoughts that came to them. Once complete, they were to turn the paper over, write the word fear and do the same process.
When everyone was finished, I explained the significance of this exercise. The paper represents a coin. When it comes to moving oneself forward, we can choose which side to focus on, this will reflect in our outer experiences.
I shared how where your attention goes, energy flows.
I asked them which side of the coin do they wish to focus on. This will be the foundation from which they operate.
Is it strengthening?
Is it empowering?
Does it yield favorable results?
I encouraged all the attendees to set an intention on where they wish to focus. Instead of flipping a coin, taking a chance, to put efforts into purposefully choosing. I suggested they frame the side they choose and put it on their desk as a reminder of what inspires them towards success.
My own intention is to follow through with this download of creative visioning and develop an actual workshop. There will be added value to the agenda in alignment with my teachings of Core Thinking for Success.
In the meantime, feel free to contemplate what I have shared here and create your own two-sided paper. Frame it and implement the thoughts you wrote down. Watch the amazing transformations occur and embrace the changes you may experience.
Remember, there is always “two sides to a coin,” which side are you operating from?

Note: This was an exercise in the creative process that came naturally and organically. I did not have to do anything other than pay attention to the nudge, open myself to receiving and allowing the information to flow. I believe Einstein used this same strategy for his discoveries. Imagine what you can open yourself up to by practicing this exercise…… the results can be amazing and extraordinary!h6>
