I’ve had a great career, I’ve been privileged to work with some fabulous people and witness some truly momentous events. But it hasn’t always been plain sailing. I would describe my worst experience of transformation as hell and my best as heaven. The difference between the two was really simple – being cared about, that’s pretty much it. In my hell transformation, we were merely bodies, to get as much out of for as little as possible. Mistakes were not tolerated and not knowing the answer was not an option. In my heaven transformation, relationships were built, success and failures shared and people were seen and heard. My time in hell was spent trying to get out of there and my time in heaven was spent doing my very best for the team, the client and the project. Like I say, successful transformation is not rocket science – just give a toss about people and they will give a toss about you.
