Together – Let’s Rise Up to Heal the World

Humanity First

Now, more than ever we need to step back, listen, and learn. People around the world are awakening to the words of this masterpiece in search of hope, recovery, and a brighter future. Of course, it will take time. But no matter how isolated you may feel, know that you are not alone, because we’re in this together —every step of the way. Isn’t it time to stop the (negative) music and listen to the positive music borne of faith in humanity rediscovered? Let’s join together, rise up, and share this message across the universe…

There’s a place in your heart, And I know that it is love, And this place could be much Brighter than tomorrow. And if you really try, You’ll find there’s no need to cry, In this place, you’ll feel, There’s no hurt or sorrow.

There are ways to get there
If you care enough for the living
Make a little space
Make a better place
Heal the world
Make it a better place
For you and for me
And the entire human race
There are people dying
If you care enough for the living
Make it a better place
For you and for me
If you want to know why
There’s love that cannot lie
Love is strong
It only cares of joyful giving
If we try we shall see
In this bliss we cannot feel
Fear of dread
We stop existing and start living
The it feels that always
Love’s enough for us growing
So make a better world…
~Heal the World by Michael Jackson

  1. Yay and more yay. I’ve worked in drug education and counseling for some time, and one of the sayings from the recovery community that really rang my bell: “Only an addict would see isolation as the cure for loneliness.”
The waters of Venice, I hear, are clear for the first time in memory, as myriad propellors are not churning up the sediment. We have such a relentless opportunity to let go of our addictions—including the metaphoric ones—and re-negotiate what community can mean.
    Thanks, Dennis.

    • May we all rise up. It is what we must do
A call, a video call, smiles, emails words are all.needed now. To whomever is alone even we cannot get to them in person we must not let them feel all alone.

  2. Thanks a Million, Dear Dennis Sir, for sharing these beautiful words from a legend we may never forget! The inherent message is one of the most appropriate for the current situation. No wonder, your leadership comes to the fore in revealing to us the message that we must all take to our hearts and act in the spirit of true love.

    Warm Regards, with Prayers!

    • It’s time for us to step back and redefine who we are and what we wish our world to look like beyond the current chaos, my friend.

  3. Hi Dennis, I am in absolute agreement that now is the time to rise up and create a new world based in love. The world has been stopped on a dime for an important reason. After the shock of this event subsides, we are being forced to go within to discover what is really important in life. The virus is a cosmic mirror being held in front of us that shows us the wounds that we have refused to face before. 9-11 and the financial crisis of 2008 tried to help us look in the mirror. Unfortunately, many did not learn from our mistakes of the past. Here, although a tragedy, we have an opportunity to resist the pull to react negatively and fight our shadow side. Instead, we can embrace the light that is within and claim our sovereignty and that of Mother Earth’s and set a new course to correct what our shadow is revealing. Love is a power, not just a sentiment. Look for the acts of love, instead of the dark greed and fear that those in control want us to buy into. It is time to show our greatness!

    • Thank you, Helen. Love your final sentence: “It is time to show our greatness!”

  4. Beautiful words and encouragement for all of us, Dennis. Love always finds a way to love. May the valuable attributes of human beings-compassion, courage, love, creativity, imagination, kindness, care, trust, faith rise stronger than ever as we find our way through this global tsunami of upheaval. Thank you for sharing the song and lyrics of this inspired song. Yes. Heal ourselves and help one another heal and live from love. Thank you so much for this post!!

    • An inspired song indeed, Laura – and it’s simply amazing how many people around the world have returned to this song for comfort and hope for a brighter future…

  5. Thank you for this reminder that our task is to reach out and help each other where we can. In the past week hundreds of writers have taken their gifts seriously sharing thousands of hopeful words to help uplift and heal their neighbors around the world.

    • I have seen that quote quite a bit too. Shows how profound and inspired it is. I really love this quote by John Wesley. It’s timeless truth.

Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as ever you can.
