Today? Tomorrow? When?

All through the ages of history we have asked ourselves that same question. When? When will mankind learn to live in peace with themselves. Perhaps today will be that day, of course I would not hold my breath on that statement. If we look back at history we can plainly see where it all went wrong. Can we blame the Roman Empire?  The Greeks? Egyptians? Phoenicians?  Who takes the blame? It is time to look at the things that man has done. Man has been responsible for the damage that has been done in this world. You can give it any name you like, greed, avarice, power, politics, and the likes. You would think that from our own past mistakes we would have learned that we the people need to take care of our resources if we expect to survive. It is. Plain to see that we are not doing this, why not? Good question, why do we keep ignoring the inevitable?  Perhaps because we don’t care, we will leave it for the next generation to solve. If we don’t solve it now there wont be a next generation.

The current political climate will let tomorrow become the savior of today’s mistakes. The realization of this is that the time is running out for us. Tomorrow may just be to late, and like empires before us we will tumble and fall in to the ashes of those that thought the same way as us. What will it take for the world to wake up and realize that the damage that man has done and will there be enough time to repair it? We are consumed with technology, technology that is self assuming that it will fix the planet. Do you really believe that? We the general public have stopped talking to each other, we text, we don’t talk, and when you don’t talk too each other innovation, and necessity stop. We don’t see what is around us, we don’t hear the rock skip over the water, we don’t see the gentle breeze swaying the grassy fields. But most of all we don’t see our fellow mankind anymore, we only see the tech device in front of us.

If we don’t learn now, then when? Well people perhaps that day will never come, for we are so caught up in our own world that we don’t see the sign of disaster that is looming around the corner. Maybe when it shows up on the text machine we might look up, but by then it will be too late. By then the pillars of time will have descendant upon us.
