Your diet is NOT making you sick. Not getting on the train is. I mean, it is just food, right? Me? I was just like the next person, and THIS is why I got sick and what I would NOT do again. And no, I didn’t get too sick to move right away. It was “just” the regular stuff, like; Constipation, the stomach aces, the loss of energy, insomnia, you know, the regular “stuff” that we all get. Right? WRONG! The wrong is this: It is NOT what we all need to get, nor is it natural. Normal, heck yes. Natural, not so much.
I lived my life like you are doing, watching my weight, thinking if I just exercise, if I just find what is wrong with me so I can fix it, or better yet if I can find a pill, a vitamin, something lacking in my body, I can add it and BAM, fixed again. That is ALL I was willing to do. Change my lifestyle? Heck no. Pfft, I mean, I was living a happy “healthy”, very social life. You might be a different place but you might know what I am talking about. The resistance to change. Resistance to listening. AND take it seriously.
Doing the most simple thing can be too hard to DO. I had a conversation with my son yesterday, about simplicity, and how we spend our lives building so that we can sit still and watch the ocean, with nothing to do, and nothing to worry about. How we strive, run after, when all we really want is peace and quiet, to feel content, satisfied, loved, respected and full. The thing is, all we chase represents what we think we will achieve when we “get” it. When we reach it. It really isn`t.

They were willing to do what they knew was right, even though it was “difficult”. I mean, common, we are all adults here, right? When the body shows symptoms of pain, swelling, tumors, diarrhea etc, do we really think it is ok, or are we simply too busy and ignorant to listen?
Yeah, I was. Too much everything. Mostly stuck in my own ego. In my head. I even believed my body was weak, and that I, ME, the strong Hilde that had been taught that achieving was EVERYTHING, could do an override. Not possible. Learned that the hard way. The bedridden state didn’t happen overnight, it never does. It will show up when you haven’t listened for a long time.
