What every parent needs to know – The World Health Organization (WHO) has revised its Covid vaccine recommendations for healthy. On Tuesday, March 28th, 2023, WHO announced that healthy children under 18 years of age were considered ‘low overall’ to be vaccinated. However, many countries have already determined that children should not be vaccinated. Some of the countries that are far ahead of the WHO in deciding the well-being of children include the following.
2022
- Sweden
- Germany
- Norway
- UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) states children under 12 will not receive the vaccine.
2023
Singapore announced it’s not recommended for children, nor are they eligible for additional doses. However, The United States continues to recommend the COVID-19 vaccine “CDC recommends COVID-19 vaccines for everyone ages six months and older, and boosters for everyone ages five years and older if eligible” CDC, 2023. Therefore, it’s essential to understand the state lever requirements for COVID-19 vaccination. According to the Kaiser Family Foundation website, the policies on Parental Consent Laws for COVID-19 Vaccination include the following.
- 49 states require parental consent.
- 4 states require no waiver.
- 4 states give providers the right to waive consent.
- Several states classify a minor difference.
Most states define the ‘age of consent’ as 18. Listed below is the information for states that have exceptions to parental consent.
- Arizona, a child or a doctor can request a vaccine with a court order.
- Arkansas, a provider may waive parental rights.
- District of Columbia allows 11+ to consent without a parent, and healthcare providers may institute additional requirements.
- Idaho, a provider may waive parental rights.
- North Carolina, providers may allow minors ages 16 and 17 to self-consent.
- Oregon allows 15+ to consent without a parent.
- Philadelphia allows 11+ to consent without a parent.
- Rhode Island allows 16+ to consent without a parent.
- San Francisco allows 12+ to consent without a parent.
- South Carolina allows 16+ to consent without a parent.
- Tennessee, a provider may waive parental rights.
- Washington, a provider may waive parental rights.
My only thought after raising two children was. How many children under 18 understand how to read vaccine research and critically think about the consequences of taking the COVID-19 vaccine?
Perhaps the greatest scam ever foisted on humanity. Follow the money. Who got rich off of this? Many people and some companies, all on the death and illnesses caused by the vaccine. It also caused a further divide in our people.
It breaks my heart to see how much energy and money has gone into a vaccine that has not even proven to be effective. Don’t even get me started. We have no idea of the long term effects. All I know is 100% of the people I know who have gotten Covid have been vaccinated and fully boosted. 🤦♀️
