Startups all over the world are thriving especially in the technology sector. While many startups tend to fail in the initial startup stage, a larger percentage succeed and become successful businesses leading the number of active startups being at an all time high.
The fine folks at Kempler Industries recently analyzed the top 200 startups in the world. They used data from a site called Startup Ranking to try and better understand the different types of startups that people around the world are starting. On top of that they also looked at the different countries in which startups originate to see which countries around the world produce the most startups.
The United States tops the lists with 72 startups in the top 200 list. The top 3 categories of startups in the United States according to Kempler, are companies that specialize in Find (helping people find a variety of content, places to go and people to help), Organize (optimize processes for business and or social), and Analyze (tools for businesses and or social analytics).
There was a steep drop-off after the United States with the next closest country being India with 13 startup companies on the list. Trailing India was Canada with 10 companies and Japan and Spain with 9 companies on the list respectively.
