Technology Replacing Old Operations
With the advent of technology, many processes have been replaced by more innovative and efficient technologies. Older ways of doing things are outdated and replaced by newer ones to achieve higher productivity. During covid, I helped one of the largest building and construction companies create a fit-for-purpose e-commerce website and apps that helped them better manage their supply chain work schedule planning and on-time delivery during the lockdown.
In the coming years, we expect more industries to be disrupted by technology as new players enter their markets with advanced solutions that provide better customer experiences while reducing costs. The lesson here is clear: if you want to stay relevant, get used to learning new things quickly!
Where is Technology Taking Us?
Technology has taken us to a place where the future is now. Think of all the things that have changed since you were born. In my lifetime, I have seen computers go from the clunky box that hummed loudly and took up much space to something that fits in my pocket and is more powerful than any computer from my childhood.
What does this mean for us as individuals? How can we prepare for an uncertain future? What should businesses do now to be ready when change occurs in the years ahead?
My TEDx talk, Technological Armageddon: A Wake-Up Call, has over a million views and makes you ponder many unanswered questions about our future in the era where AI has become more powerful than human intelligence.
Take the Lesson, and Make a Change.
A pandemic is a global disease outbreak that spreads quickly and affects many people. The most famous example in recent years was the outbreak of SARS (severe acute respiratory syndrome) in 2003-2004. At its height, it infected about 8,000 people worldwide and killed 774 before it could be contained. While this may seem like an isolated event, pandemics happen all the time: according to World Health Organization estimates, one occurs somewhere on Earth every year or two; however, only five percent of them become global pandemics as SARS did.
Pandemics are scary because they spread so quickly that we can’t get ahead of them—and even though we know what causes them most often (like poor sanitation), there’s not always anything we can do about them other than try to limit their impact once they’ve started spreading through our population bases.
So when was the last time you felt like something was different? Did it spark curiosity within yourself? Did you ask yourself why this happened? Did you consider taking action based on what happened?
In my business at TJS Cognition Ltd, I have always looked to a combination of psychology and technology-driven empowering solutions; at the same time, I’ve used over twenty years of experience to help my clients create detailed plans and train the staff to be more adaptive and productive with innovative mindset transformation and technologically driven solutions.
Conclusion
There is no doubt that technology is changing the way we work and live. It has completely changed our world and will continue to do so in the future. The impact of technology on business today has been a topic of much debate, but one thing is clear: Technology doesn’t just enable better processes and services; it also reduces costs and stress and improves productivity.
This means companies can stay competitive while offering more value for less money than ever before! But what does all this mean? At its core, technology is helping us think differently about how we work together as humans—and if you’re willing to embrace these changes rather than fight against them (like our fictional characters did when faced with a zombie apocalypse), there’s plenty of opportunity ahead for everyone involved.
