The God Particle And You (Part 1)

This four-part series of articles will describe the elusive “God Particle,” what it is, what it means for science, how it relates to ancient spiritual knowledge, and what it all means for you.

[su_highlight background=”#fcffbf”]**News flash** GOD PARTICLE FOUND! (July 4th, 2012 CERN Labs, Switzerland) Scientists announced that they have spotted God waving back at them from a fleeting particle in the large hadron collider 350 ft. underground on the French-Swiss border. “Gosh darn,” the deity was heard to say. “Can’t a spirit vacation with any privacy? Even my best disguises don’t work anymore.” Scientists said the encounter, though brief, was not really God at all but some form of a subatomic gremlin since all scientists know that God doesn’t exist.[/su_highlight]

Okay, they did discover the Higgs boson, the God Particle, but God never really spoke to them. I guess you were smart enough to see through my jibe. Just a chuckle at the way scientists cringe at the word, “God.” Also gotta love the irony of the pedestrian media invoking God’s cachet to make headlines. Okay, now that it’s off my chest, let’s get serious because a very incredible thing has happened.

The discovery of the Higgs boson is less than God but more than a particle. God, in mystical texts, is described as intelligent energy or consciousness expressing Itself through a multiplicity of forms. This process involves energy converting into particles to produce the totality of what we call material creation. The Higgs boson is the lynchpin of that mosaic. It’s like a quantum enzyme or catalyst that converts energy to mass but it is not quite a particle and this fact will underscore the fantastic quantum weirdness of the subatomic world that makes up all we perceive.

You might be asking yourself why an article about quantum physics has any importance to you. The answer may seem kind of trippy, but then everything about the quantum world underlying our reality is bizarre. I’m going to build a chain of links to bring this complex stuff down to a personal level for you, and let’s start with Albert Einstein.

Einstein said, “We have all been wrong. What we call matter is energy, whose vibration has been lowered as to be perceptible to the senses.” What does he mean by this? By way of explanation, Einstein came up with his famous, nifty little formula E=MC2. This states that energy and matter are interchangeable. Matter derives from energy and resolves back into energy. That’s the way atomic bombs work. They take particles and release the energy from which they are made.

Next, we have Max Planck, the father of quantum physics. Planck stated that “Behind the existence of all matter is a conscious and intelligent mind—this mind is the matrix of all matter.” So matter comes from energy and energy contains intelligence or information, the product of a directing consciousness. Not so surprising when you think about it. Take the DNA, for example. DNA strands are nothing more than encoded information intelligently directing the formation of your physical body.

So how do we deduce that consciousness is involved? Well, let’s retrace the steps. Energy creates matter, but that energy contains directive information because matter consistently assumes differentiated forms so a dog is a dog and a cat is a cat. Directed information, the ability to differentiate, and the consistency of energies’ application or results are all hallmarks of an intelligent conscious mind in action, hence Max Planck’s observation. Call it God, Supreme Consciousness, the Force, or whatever makes you comfortable, but Consciousness underlies the matrix of physical creation.

In Part II we will describe how the God Particle works with the aim of demonstrating how it relates to our lives in a personal way.

Peter Canova
PETER is a multi-award winning author, speaker, and inspirational visionary. His book, Pope Annalisa has won ten national and international book awards. The theme underlying Peter's body of work is that all people have the ability to transcend their ordinary consciousness and experience information from a higher source within themselves. He conducted thirty-five years of research into ancient spiritual texts, quantum physics, and psychology to understand the startling psychic experiences that altered his life. He learned that modern science is only rediscovering the astonishing teachings of ancient spiritual traditions concerning the creation and the true nature of physical reality. Peter's dynamic presentations have captivated many different interest groups on a variety of topics including artistic creativity, the holographic nature of our universe, the Mystery Schools, the lost teachings of Judeo- Christianity, Mary Magdalene and the early women of the Church, the Sacred Feminine, spiritual vs. Darwinian evolution, the Third Way between science and religion, the intelligent nature of light, and the wisdom in creation myths. He has been the subject of numerous radio and TV interviews and has spoken at a variety of high profile events including the Global Alliance for Transformational Entertainment where he was the kick-off presenter for a roster of speakers including Eckhart Tolle, Jim Carrey, Barbara Marx Hubbard, Jean Houston, Edward James Olmos, and Fred Alan Wolf. He has been a featured speaker at the Conscious Living Expo, the New Living Expo, the Unity Church National Convention, and the Centers for Spiritual Living National Convention. 1. I heard about the theories to find it. I missed the boat that it was actually found. For years, many have been looking for the unifying equation that would link all the sciences, and I mean all the sciences together. Physics, chemistry, geology, psychology, and etc. Maybe this particle is a piece of that unifying equation.

If we can find that link that connects the human mind with energy, we will take that next evolutionary step as a species.

    • Chris, Reading scientific journal articles is one of my hobbies. Peter is right about the way scientists reject God or any sort of intelligent consciousness. I get it. the ostracism visited upon many scientists for even hinting at God in their work has ended many careers and tarnished (in the scientific community) many reputations. But they have to open their eyes to the fact that we are at a crossroads where science and spirituality are overlapping. I’m deeply spiritual and 0% religious and I frequently make notations in peer-reviewed journal articles that something published in a scientific journal should be quoted in a book I am working on that puts bridges between the two worlds and not just on the quantum level. I am a Metaphysicists and a citizen scientist. Few scientists will learn about Metaphysicists despite the fact that it was a highly respected field until the church insisted on the Cartesian split. I wonder how many of them realize that their aversion to Metaphysics is continuing church dogma. If you don’t know what spirituality practices teach you are blind when your work proves them. They simply don’t know what they don’t know.

    • My school of thought is that things start from some primordial muck then evolves into different branches of ideas and ideologies. When people reject God, my question is which one and what is the definition you’re working with.

When things go right, I yell out “thank the gods”. When someone performs extremely well, I call them a god-ling. This is just a reflect of my definition, that gods are ideals we want to strive to be.

I just saw a video by Jordan Peterson last Sunday –

It talks about how religion helped us become rational human beings. A really interesting listen.

    • What I try to remember is that everything is a Unity appearing as parts. As the parts, we may sense other degrees of consciousness we call gods but I’d rather concentrate on the Source and cut out the middlemen, yes?
