The Donald Has Arrived

Trump[su_dropcap style=”flat”]N[/su_dropcap]O MATTER WHAT you may think of Donald Trump, he has demonstrated that he has staying power. His impressive win in NY shows that. If his momentum keeps on going, he will probably reach his magic number. Say what you may his outrages comments and inflammatory speeches, but they have found a place with the people. Lately he has toned somewhat, but I believe that is advice well headed. So where does Donald go from here? If the prevailing winds are true to force, he will ride the wind right up to the stage of the Republican Convention.

Cleveland is hosting the Republican Convention Where is Cleveland? What an unlikely place to hold such an event. Surely there are more exciting places they could have chosen. If the RNC would have known that Trump was going to generate so much publicity, I will assure you they would have picked a better venue. Well enough about Cleveland, wherever that may be.

Back to the issue at hand, since Trump is the main issue today we shall stay on the topic. Hillary will get her say later on. Of the remaining states that are still up for grabs, I am sure that Trump will win some of them. If my math serves me, Cruz is way too far down to achieve the necessary numbers to be the nominee. Only thing left for him is to try and influence delegates to come over to his camp. Does “tricky dicky come to mind?”

If and when the convention meets it will probably be the highest TV rated political event in history. This of course due to Donald Trump’s popularity.

I don’t think the Democratic convention will make a blip on the screen. Philadelphia gets the honor hosting the event. Ironic that Trump is favored to win in that state. Maybe he will have a walk on during the nominee speech. Can you imagine that when it is all said and done, and Trump wins the white house, he will have the right to say to the democratic contender “You are Fired” What a furor that would create.

The one thing that the Trump campaign has is Excitement, it radiates enthusiasm even though I watch it on TV I can feel the energy that the crowd has. When Hillary is speaking there is no excitement in the crowed at all. There is more excitement in the Bernie Sanders people than the Hillary brigade. Oh well to each its own I guess. Now the real fight begins, who will be left standing when the dust clears? Trump, Clinton?

The outcome will be decided by the people of each individual state. Each state has a number of electors, One for each member of the house of representatives and two for each senator. So look at your state and see how many electoral it has. The candidates need 270 to become president. For those of you on the sideline it’s time to step up and decide who you will want to lead this country. It comes down to the following: Vote for Hillary and you will have the same old tired system that does not work. Vote for Trump and you will have something new and untried, but it won’t be the same old system.

The decision rest with you the people, do your work and elect the best person that can turn this USA around.

2 CONVERSATIONS

  1. I agree with Trump that the present system is rigged to let the party power brokers decide who will be their candidate. The real gun of course are the super delegates, that can do as they please…. or as directed by the power base.

I think there is a good chance that Trump will eek out the required delegates by convention time, but if not then he will have to do some trading with Bush, Kasich, etc. In any case we are likely to have a choice of Trump or Clinton. To me that is a no brainer.

  2. The sad thing is that it comes down to who it comes down to. The population of the USA is roughly 323 million and growing. That’s all I have to say on the subject. I will agree with your last statement though. Vote for Hillary and you will have the same old tired system that does not work. Vote for Trump and you will have something new and untried, but it won’t be the same old system. Thank you for sharing your thoughts!
