Take an Interest in Someone

I‘ve had so many wonderful conversations this week with a lot of different people It’s been an emotional roller coaster, but I wanted to just take a quick second and share something with you.  As I listen, ask questions,  and learn from people, I’ve been realizing more and more just how interconnected we all are.

A simple step that you can take to start to improve the relationships in your lives is to start showing an interest in the people in your life.

We can’t show any interest in someone until we get to know who they are.  Start by extending an invitation to someone and start to get to know them.

Here’s a great conversation starter. Tell me one thing that you’ve done this past week that made you feel good.  This opens up the door for them to start sharing with you all of the good things that they’ve experienced in their life and starts the conversation off on a positive note.  Sometimes they might start telling you about their frustrations, difficulties, and the challenges that they’re experiencing.  It’s very important.to LISTEN and be there for them to show them that you care about them.
