Staying focused, being aligned constantly with the work you set out to do – within an organisation, on behalf of the community, for the greater good…this has all become so much harder in the world we face today. And all the more needed.
Staying connected to the direction of travel that feels right for you and those around you requires a new level of consciousness. A consciousness that combines the head and the heart bringing both clarity and love. Accessing the required clarity amid the onslaught of seemingly crazy events day in day out requires us to dig deep within. In that digging deep we are drawing on a much more profound sense of who we are and what we stand for – and this in turn, hopefully, brings us to love.
Being intentional in every moment means we must slow down, at least a fraction, and pay attention – to who or what is showing up in our awareness.
To notice whether we are moving gracefully toward the destination we have chosen. That destination may be to act with love and care for others. It may be to improve an organisational culture. It may be to draw attention to the positive shifts that are happening rather than all the negativity that’s so easily rained upon us.
Whatever the destination, vigilance and paying attention by slowing down, taking a moment and noticing is what’s called for. This will enable each thought, action, and connection with others to be more aligned and able to manifest with maximum clarity, love, and impact. Transforming our destiny as a human race is a mammoth task that in this moment, demands this level of intention.
Beautiful message and invitation here, Lorraine! Practicing the pause, taking the love-inspired action in this moment continue to be what each of us can consciously choose. Each person that takes that moment to pay attention makes a positive difference for the collective. Thank you for this encouragement, this inspiration.
Thank you Laura
This is a great article. I have spent a lifetime being an animal advocate, and working with many other non-profits but I must confess that the older I get the more I want to walk down a dirt road with my dog in tow enjoying the twilight years. You are spot on in telling us to focus on the end result.
Thanks Larry although I have to say that with our current world I’m not sure any of us more ‘conscious’ people will have the opportunity to ‘kick back’ any time soon…there’s too much work still to do…
Lorraine I really thought about your work and in particular your comment “staying connected to the direction of travel that feels right for you…” That feels so good to me and I thank you.
Thank you Maureen
Yes, the world needs more of this. Thanks for sharing.
Excellent Lorraine. We change the world one individual at a time.
Thank you John
