A DECADE+ OF STORYTELLING POWERED BY THE BEST WRITERS ON THE PLANET

Swamp Water

Swamp Water was actually written when there were at least 9 kids running around my house while I was having a cowrite. The eerie story song came about because the kids were going to play in our garden pond that hadn’t been cleaned out. I hollered at them “Stay out of that swamp water!” they laughed and we laughed and said, “Hey that sounds like a good song.” My guitarist started playing a hook and I had him just keep playing and wallah- Swamp Water was born in a few minutes.

Amy Jo
Amy Johttps://amyjosmusic.com/
This spitfire music artist and singer/songwriter knows how to put on a show and loves what she does! Amy Jo wrote her first song at about age 10 and began performing on her own at age 15 for festivals and events around her hometown. Her love of music began in childhood as her mother, Candy, is also a singer/songwriter. One of AJ's fondest memories is watching her mom perform at the Midwest Country Music Hall and riding her tricycle around the room at about age 3. Her father's love of classic country and bluegrass also has been a large musical influence. The spicy, fun girl from the Hoosier state has penned many songs and has begun the journey of setting them all to music for herself and other artists and even sync. She has started taking things in a bit of an edgier style with a mix of Southern Rock, Red Dirt, outlaw, blues, and folk-country all combined within her writing. She has a mixed country style all her own. After realizing music was her calling and dream career, she continues to pursue it wholeheartedly. After years of performing for contests and at fairs, festivals, and small-town bars and venues, she and her family made a move to Austin. She got married to Rocky, and she has the full support of him and their 7 kids. She was able to begin working with a great producer out of Brentwood, Tennessee - Sal Oliveri- in 2020. Sal has a credible reputation in the music industry and has been great for helping guide and direct some of her previous musical choices. She has continued to branch out and even co-produce some of her own tunes. Her singles Stupid Girl, Mississippi Flood, Throwback, Swamp Water, She’ll Send You Back, and 5 Minute Smoke Break are available on Itunes and all platforms.  New personal releases are in plans ahead for 2023, as well as some duo projects that she can’t wait to share with everyone. An official video has been released for Swamp Water and will be for several other projects coming down the pike. In the past year, she has won Gold For Song of the Year twice for her song Swamp Water, as well as the Title for Best Outlaw Song of the Year, Best Southern Rock Artist, and Best Female Country Music Artist. Along with the most recent Best Female Country Original at the Red Carpet Awards Show in the Netherlands. She was just inducted to be a member of the Who's Who Marquis in August of 2023 for her exceptional successes in the music world for the past 20 years. Amy was also honored to be a judge this year for the International Singer-Songwriters Association and attended the ceremony this year in Atlanta to present some of the awards to this year's winning artists, as well as perform. She is now an official Representative for ISSA in the Tupelo, MS, and Jackson, TN regions. Many unreleased songs have been written and are in the shoot to be recorded as well as some up for use for other artists. Co-writing with other artists has been some of the most fun recently and has helped bring even more new and fresh ideas. In her “spare time,” she helps to coach other artists and teach others as well as teens who want to learn how to write and format their own songs. As well as running her own company to help critique and direct other artists, Natural Soul; and a sister company with Revolution Remastered. AJ even has a southern rock/ Christian project in works with no set release date in the future. “This one has to be done just right. It will be a full album,  and it’s going to be a crown jewel to me- so I want to be 1,000 percent happy with it.” Amy Jo has a rare kind of drive and devotion in all that she does. She loves people and finds joy in connecting with others through her performances and music.  She says " I am so thankful. To God be the glory in every step of everything that I have, and will ever do."
