We are all witnessing a rising number of claims on food products. This doesn’t come as a surprise, as the trend of buying more healthy and more environmentally friendly products is on the rise, especially among millennials. However, companies which recognize this trend, yet can’t meet the standards of organic or natural production, tend to make their products seem healthy (e.g. by using a color palette and design characteristic for natural products).
This practice is known as greenwashing, and is a threat for an average consumer standing in front of a line of products trying to make a greener or healthier choice.
In the era of consumerism, economic boom of big companies, and the progressively rising need for healthy alternatives, the customer who is always right is the well-informed customer. To help customers make their way to healthier and eco-friendlier alternatives, we created an infographic which sheds light on sustainable food production and ways to go green.
