Success Without Limits

Success without limits. Sounds pretty good, doesn’t it. What can it mean? Well, it’s certainly different for everyone. It could be passing a business sales figure for the year. It could be achieving a health objective like going to the gym regularly or learning how to do tai chi. It could even be accomplishing one of the big goals of your lifetime. Though our ideas of achievement may be different, there is one powerful tool that can be used to help accomplish that kind of success for most everyone. That tool is to hold a vision of that success in your mind’s eye.

As a writer and a lawyer, word definitions are important to me so I want us to be clear on what I mean by “vision” and how to engage it.

First, vision is, at a basic level, the act or power of sensing with the eyes or sight. So, seeing with your eyes is the predominant understanding of “vision.” Next is, the act or power of anticipating that which will or may come to be. Like a prophetic vision or the vision of an entrepreneur. So the bottom line is that a vision is an experience in which a person, thing or event appears vividly or credibly to the mind, although not actually present. Yes!

When I think of success without limits, I feel the use of visioning, imagining a future possibility, in the context which refers to our intentions, our affirmations, our seeing what it is we know we want to create or to manifest into our lives. Think about peace for a moment. John Lennon said, “Imagine.” Imagining and visioning, as I am referring to them here, are probably pretty much the same thing. If you can see it, if you can envision a world where everyone gets along, where everyone is just doing what they do and there is a general level of tolerance and peaceful understanding of the sovereignty of each and every person, you are visioning peace. After the visioning process, comes the action. For example, in order to enact peace on the planet, we need to live our lives as peacefully as possible.

Take time to allow yourself to dream, to envision your wildest desires without limitation on whether they become real or not. In other words, without logic or opinions. Allow your visions to bubble up from your heart, from your thoughts without any negative response by you. That critical mind you have, that Monkey Mind, really can stop envisioning in its tracks. It says, what the heck are you thinking, you can’t do that … they’ll never let you do thatjust think what people would say if you did that. So much conditioned mind chatter that is not in any way real

Allow the world of possibilities to come forth. If it feels good keep it, write it down. Then, if it feels right to you, share it with someone who cares and supports you. The most important thing? Keep believing all things are possible … as they truly are.

  1. Nothing is impossible. If we believe that something is impossible, we will never get anything and we will not see our dreams come true. As they say, the impossible takes just a little longer to arrive, as much as we put in trying and trying. We have to want it and reach it. We must do our best and launch ourselves, with or without fear, but always head towards what we want, otherwise we will never know the results.

  2. Darity, you had me right here: “Allow yourself to dream, to envision your wildest desires without limitation … without logic or opinions.” If we could bottle that and get it in the hands, hearts, and minds of everyone we can reach … Wow!

Thank you for making my day.
