  1. Diversity is first and foremost utility: the usefulness of having alternative points of view available to the prevailing thought, to solve complicated problems in a creative and efficient way. Cognitive diversity, the result of the different filters through which each of us interprets the world, in this sense is a resource not only of value but also necessary.
