Jason (Soul) Howe’s music career began in his mid-30’s when he was struggling to put in perspective personal loss and the ongoing challenges faced by the black community in Nova Scotia. He talks about the importance of being true to the things you believe in.

Soul is aSinger/Songwriter from Hammonds Plains/Halifax, Canada. Soul served in the Canadian Navy as a Cook for 8 years and participated in two overseas operations (Op Apollo in the Gulf of Oman) and Op Unison in the Gulf of Mexico. Soul has always been an artist, winning numerous sketching competitions, one of which gave him the opportunity to meet Rosa Parks (something he considers to be on the major highlights of his life).
