We’ve analyzed national and state-level search trends to find out what types of small business people are most frequently thinking about starting.

Interesting that 4 of the 8 most frequent types of businesses researched are food prep/service. Yet, none of the 10 most profitable are food businesses. Gee, wonder what that tells us? If we looked at the types of new businesses that fail, I suspect that the food businesses would be among the most common.
Just because one eats out a lot, is a foody, a good cook, or even a chef doesn’t mean that person can run a restaurant operation.
