The song Rodeo Town was inspired by the keyboard player in my band, Tony Williams. Tony was played piano professionally for many years and for such well-known country music artists as Billy Crash Craddock and Vern Gosdin. Tony and I were collaborating on some songs one day and he told me the story of when he played for a couple of years in Santa Fe, New Mexico with Larry Hamilton. He had met a young lady, a dark-haired beauty. Tony ended up extending his stay in Santa Fe because of this young lady.
