Butterflies retire in Fall, fluttering wings be missed
Bumblebees follow suit, honey gathering complete
Sparrows remain on duty their song a pleasure so
Pigeons call their friends discussing what to do
A ladybird just visited always a pleasure to see
Figs eaten a month ago, flavour still alive
Now their leaves of Fall, green and yellow
Glide down upon a lawn so green still lush
Ground inviting another tree sheds its leaves,
Deep maroon in color contrast on the grass
A tree full of quince fruit awaiting a gin to drink
Single petal roses, smiling faces ready to sleep
Flowers brighten a day; white, purple, and yellow
Hydrangeas now cream and pink display their pride
All sense a season’s change as Fall moves on apace
Grateful for colors galore
Celebration of year abound
From summer’s heat to Autumn’s cool
We must be thankful Universe supreme
Mother Nature’s gift glows forever in our hearts
Simon I love this. I spend a lot of time in the garden. It has become a way of living, a way of being. Thank you sir for this inspiring story.
Dear Larry,
Thank you for your most meaningful comments. Gardening including sitting in the garden after investing time making it more than welcoming, I do like to view the natural way it has developed over the years. We planted many trees which are now rather special including weeping willows, quince, Indian Bean Tree, fig tree, two apple trees,
Raspberries, buxus and more. Thanks again, Larry, we do have a similar view on gardens.
Dear Shara,
Good Morning!
I am the one who is humbled by your warm, encouraging and gentle comments.
Thank you everso.
Enjoy the week ahead.
Simon
