Benghazi has drifted into the ashes of history. Trump’s bankruptcies and not paying taxes were met with a collective shrug by voters. His bombastic style has even been cheered by many as “It is about time we got someone with a little grit” in the White House.
The flap and speculation about Hillary’s health has pretty much withered on the vine.
But, of course there is still the issue of her email server and the missing 33,000 emails. I understand that those have now been found though, but that is a story for another time. While a few of those have been leaked, I think the big boots are yet to fall. Those will come down as needed to keep the focus on that subject.
A few analysts are now saying that her election is a certainty no matter how the popular vote goes because she has the needed 270 electoral votes in her purse. I don’t know about that. This election is so unprecedented with so many twists and turns and key players changing positions that I wouldn’t take that to the bank just yet. The Speaker of the House, bitterly opposed to Trump a few weeks ago, has announced that he has voted for him. At least two long time supporters of Clinton said last week on a major network that they were re-assessing their positions and some of her big financial contributors have backed away from her.
I don’t really want to think about what could happen if Trump wins big at the polls and the electoral college places Clinton in the White House.
But, I’m going to hazard a prediction. The email issue is a red herring. The FBI knows it, the DOJ knows it, Clinton knows it, Soros knows it, Obama knows it, and God knows it. The big fish in this mess is the Clinton Foundation.
Every effort is being made to focus the attention on the email/server issues and away from the Clinton Foundation. If that is investigated with vigor all Hell will break loose and it won’t be just the Clintons looking at legal problems. There are so many elected and appointed officials, big companies, and even foreign governments nestled in that rat hole that the explosion of that investigation will implode not just a handful of people, but companies and world relationships.
So, there you have my prediction. Of course, we may never know if my opinion holds water unless the Clinton Foundation is really investigated. If all that comes to pass just remember you didn’t hear it from me.
