To be the child of an immigrant means growing up faster. Being the child of an immigrant means carrying the hopes and dreams of your ancestors with you in a foreign place. It is hard on the child and the parents. Thank you Jess Shuraleff for the opportunity to share my story on your podcast, This is my Truth. As we open our hearts to other people’s stories, our minds see different perspectives and struggles experienced by others- it is only then can we support one another to achieve true belonging. I am a child of immigrant parents from India. I grew up identifying with two cultures. My experience living in both the US and India has allowed me to see how truly connected we are as humans. I have made it my mission to protect my inner self and to teach others to do the same. I hope you enjoy listening to this heartfelt and emotional discussion with Jessi Huraleff on This Is My Truth Podcast.
