Juice jacking is the newest form of physical data theft we are instructed to be on the lookout for, but the most common form of physical data theft comes from theft and loss of physical devices like laptops and cell phones. A quarter of laptops are stolen from cars and 14% are lost in airports or left on planes. Only a quarter of those lost or stolen are ever recovered, and replacing the device and repairing the damage caused costs businesses eight times on average the cost of the device.
