May I see with new eyes
May I hear with new ears
May I feel with a fuller heart” *
May I touch with heightened sense
May I taste with wakening buds
May I experience with a more open heart
May I stand with firmer feet
May I walk with quiet grace
May I be present with a more courageous heart
May I speak with clearer words
May I know only kind thoughts
May I forgive with a more spacious heart
May I give with greater joy
May I share with a smile
May I receive with a more grateful heart
May I celebrate life
May life celebrate me
May I rejoice with a freer heart
May my word be my bond
May my life be my prayer
May I live with a more loving heart
May I hope with more faith
May my faith bring me peace
May I be blessed with an awakening heart
May love light my path
May my path lead to love
May I embrace all with a more willing heart
* These words, shared with me by my yoga teacher, Kamara, during a meditation, were the inspiration for this poem.
Wow Dennis Pitocco. I wrote this poem a long time ago and it rings as true to me today as it did then. It is a prayer for all the ages and stages of my life. Thank you for sharing and for reminding me that now is as good a time as any to offer these words… Again and again.
Your words matter to so many, my friend. We are honored to share them across the universe again and again…
Wow this is a beautiful prayer full of love and praise and hope to be the best person you can be! I loved it!
Thanks Eva. So delighted that it resonates with you. Here I am reading it again for the hundredth or thousandth time. And still feeling the love and praise and hope of when I first wrote it.
