She eventually pursued the entrepreneur track and works on a freelance basis as a successful art director.

Bonnie Harvey and Michael Houlihan

They met at a dance club that played rhythm and blues music and shortly after meeting, they discovered that they both had a desire to move to wine country. They also discovered that both of them were interested in business.

It did take long for the couple to head to Sonoma County, California and start working on what would become one of the most successful wine companies in the United States. They say that the memories that they create when traveling enriches both their relationship and their business.

Beyonce and Jay-Z

Jay-Z and Beyonce have amassed an empire and have investments in a number of different industries, such as sports management, artist management, fashion and movies. Due to their pursuits, they have created a combined net worth of almost $1 billion.

Marc Friedman and Gina Schaefer

This couple co-owns nine ACE Hardware locations in the DC metro area. They have 175 employees among all of their stores and over $17 million in revenue. They say that they are complete opposites, and this is what makes their business and marriage relationship so successful. They state that they complement each other and that they know and respect each other’s individual strengths.

This couple is still very young and have been in business for nearly a decade. They started their business together just one short year into their marriage and it did not take long for them to catapult to success.

Andrew and Peggy Cherngs

These two are immigrants and Andrew was born in China and Peggy in Burma. The couple met in Kansas when they were attending Baker University in the city of Baldwin. In 1973, Andrew and his father collaborated to open Panda Inn, a sit-down restaurant in California. It was about 10 years later when he and Peggy decided to get into the fast food industry. Peggy already had a successful career in software development that she left to join forces with Andrew.

The fast food restaurant that the couple opened was Panda Express. In 2017, there were approximately 1,700 locations. The couple says that their success is because they are able to recognize each other’s strengths. This allows them to know when to be led and when to take the lead both in business and in their relationship.

Bill and Melinda Gates

With over 20 years of marriage, The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and of course, Microsoft, this couple shows that you can truly have it all. They not only work to ensure constant innovation in the technology sector, but they spend a lot of time in developing countries to work to end poverty. The couple says that their mutual interest in each other’s lives and their collaborative relationship is what helps to keep their personal and business relationship strong.

It is easy to see why these power couples have been so successful. They have found a way to work seamlessly together while also making sure that their relationship comes first. While what they have done together is certainly big, it is not unattainable. With the right idea and drive, just about any couple can work their way to becoming a successful entrepreneurial couple.
