I am observing a bird
Humming eloquently and soothing my heart
I noticed it as a tired creature
I offered food to satiate its desire
The moment it started to dance with delight
Giving me a delectable scenario to enjoy a creature’s design of mitigating appetite!
Birds do possess four chambers of their heart
Equal to that of mammals heart
We poor humans cannot fly
But birds do inspire us to set our limits as the sky
We are triggered to aspire to reach high
Declaring our supremacy on nature’s floor were none to vie
We, humans, are truly supreme
We only have the capacity to combat our rivals with our intriguing inherent mechanism!
I really feel sorry for numerous birds
Who regularly die without making any ruckus
Silently they obliterate from nature’s floor
I wonder who shed tears for them with due rancor?
Still, birds do exist and are capable to adapt
They instigate us to act with rapt
Bird’s eye we do crave for
Which ensures our safety and sustains an encore!
I crave to be a bird
Who constructs its nest with due care without being tired
Having a passion for its offspring
Never allow to die out of a few eccentrics caprice whim
Ruthless acts they never indulge within their community
There is a clear distinction between nature and society
They are merely a product of nature devoid of any emotional equity
Their unity whether in the nest or in the sky
They uphold valiantly their integrity with their shrill cry!
A special poem Debasish. Took me wondering around looking for pretty birds like tiny blue tits. I guess we take it for granted that these little creatures can defy gravity. Very interesting; tge connection Nature, their integrity and shrill cry.
DEBASISH MAJUMDER I too love birds. I live near a Forest and the bird song are always near. Thank you for sharing this great story.
Great poem I’m a bird watcher myself.
