I lay down my life for you;
The polka dot magic without a clue.
You’ll connect the dots to wonderland,
for that is how it’s always planned.
I’ll break the ribbon at finish line
as hour glass runs out of time.
You have your reason and your rhyme
with subtle reminders that all is fine.
Perhaps I wish to dash ahead;
then you remind to enjoy the journey instead.
So I grasp a sunrise when I can.
I gaze at moon and stars of universe grand.
I listen for beautiful joyful sound.
Life brings a bowl of fruit surround.
Taste is more aware with this.
Warm and cozy brings me bliss.
I will not ever take for granted;
roots you gave me firmly planted.
My heart and soul waits up above.
I feel the power of their love.
Someday when we meet again
we’ll laugh and say, ‘remember when?’
For now this journey I hike alone.
My shadow casts to great unknown.
I trust your arms will hold me there.
As I can feel you everywhere.
I used to think I needed more.
Now all I need is life with my Lord.
