An expression of excitement shined through our grandson during the 2017 holiday season. “I knew it, I wasn’t worried at all!” He exclaimed after unwrapping the PS4 he’d asked for. “How did you know you would get one?” His grandfather asked. “Because I asked for it.” He responded with confidence.
Our faith leads us to rely on God. To believe in His promise that “He will never leave nor forsake us,” Hebrews 13:5.
Our grandson’s response meant more to me than a child asking for a gift during the holiday season. It resembled his faith in his grandfather. He trusted and knew him well enough to believe no matter how long it took, his grandfather would make good on his promise. Simply because he asked. Our faith leads us to rely on God. To believe in His promise that “He will never leave nor forsake us,” Hebrews 13:5. So when we pray and ask our Heavenly Father whatever we’ve requested of Him. We should stand firm and believe. No matter how much time has passed.
If we, like my grandson, boldly, confidently, and patiently wait on God. He can and will fulfill His promises. Simply because we’ve asked!
