Have you ever gone for a walk with others only to find that one or some make way too much noise as they trample and stomp their way along through the woods?
One with Nature
To be one with nature is to stand alone in the woods at night, never fearing terror or fright, feeling the vibration of the earth’s floor as it laments in anguish at all man has done to it while shedding a tear as you touch the wound in the side of a tree, where someone earlier carved “you and me forever,” never giving heed to the life inside.
To be one with nature is to know the animals and not fear them as they close in to see if you are worthy of their affection while leaning with ease against a stump or tree, feeling the quiet breeze as it makes its way amongst the trees. While listening to the music of the woods and the whispers of the trees, feeling their heartbeat as they sway to and fro breathing a soft sigh of relief at your contentment while nature moves closer to share in the moment.
To be one with nature, we must first be one with ourselves. We must determine who we are and what we stand for; because, unlike our ability to hide our authentic self from man, nature has a way of seeing through our persona to our genuine character before allowing us to get too close.
