On Your Last Nerve?

Not every day is rainbows and unicorns.

Some days it’s hard to pull yourself out of bed.

Some days it seems like everything that can go wrong does.

Some days everyone else seems to have it easier than you do.

Some days you’re on your last nerve.

Some days just gotta be chalked up “to the books” as you remind yourself – you survived.

And…

Some days life is sweet and filled with tremendous goodness.

Some days we believe it’s a miracle we’re here.

Some days we feel so amazingly blessed we can’t help but grin with giddiness.

Some days we wake up ready to be the hero of our own lives.

And…

Most days it’s a choice.

Keep the faith. Especially in yourself.

The world needs your radiant brilliance. It really does.

I so appreciated your line “grin with giddiness, Amy! What a warm and sweet reminder about the goodness we all have within and that we are also human in our expressions with our up days and not so up days. So perfect to read! Best to you in your radiant brilliance!

Thank you this reminder that it’s a choice, Amy! I recently committed to a deep equanimity no matter what goes before me. I find that I have profound, enduring gratitude, love, unwavering peace inside of myself that outside events cannot “rock.” There’s this part of us that is watching the movie of our lives-including our thoughts, feelings, body sensations, etc. This part continues to expand inside of me. What a joy! The practice of flowing through all the events of life through our hearts and psyches can be such a transformative process. I continue to re-read Michael Singer’s book The Untethered Soul-especially the final chapters. Outstanding book! Grow the light inside of ourselves! Yes!

Yes we can chose how we want to start the day. I look at faces on the commuter train on Monday morning and hardly a smile. People anticipating and focusing on a hard week. ahead guess what you generally get what you focus on
