New HVAC Solution Attacks Viruses, Bacteria, Mold Spores While Saving Energy Costs

–How Businesses Can Mitigate COVID Concerns Without Any Direct Capital Expenditure

One of the most frustrating problems that any business or organization has today is that people are reticent to congregate in any indoor facility due to the COVID pandemic.  This is because nobody has the confidence to go into any building for any purpose if they think that they could lose their lives by contracting the deadly virus.  News reports have cited Nursing Homes as a breeding ground for virus spread and cited the circulation in the indoor air conditioning system as acting like an Interstate highway in delivering the deadly pathogens that get sucked into the ventilation system by whoever has happened to expel particulates into the indoor air. That circulation of indoor air through any facility by whatever means is ubiquitous.

The purpose of this article is to make all building owners and tenants of any facility of any type aware that there is now a solution that comes close to completely eradicating viruses, bacteria, and mold spores by retrofitting the existing Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems, or similarly, facilities with Air Handlers or Chillers as a means to re-engineer their indoor air circulation without any direct capital expenditure, with the added benefit that the implementation of the retrofit will lower the cost of the facilities energy consumption in the same way that automotive gasoline additives improve the mileage an automotive vehicle gets per gallon.  Let me explain.

Scientists have recognized for decades that they had to address mitigating the spread of pathogens such as Norovirus, Legionnaires Disease (Legionella), and Mold Spores. These biologic menaces have plagued the Cruise industry on an ongoing basis. One manufacturer that has been wildly successful at zapping pathogens holds dozens of patents and an installed user base of over 150,000 facilities globally.  So, what problem are the solving, and how are they solving it, and does their solution apply to COVID. The answer appears to be affirmative.

The problem that the Scientists solved was that all HVAC systems, Air Handlers, and Chillers cannot capture the particles that are spewed into the air by the human occupants that traverse any indoor facility.

For you Star Trek fans, you will love how viruses die!  The patented technology emits an electronic charge that creates a plasma field. This electronic charge emits an armada of positive and negative ions, which are the same one that Mother Nature emits for releases of energy in climatic events such as lightning and waterfalls.  This in turn creates a clustering of the atoms and molecules so that they are enlarged through agglomeration.  In simple terms, the process consolidates the air particles due to the ions attaching to the airborne particles that contain things like dust, pollen, and pet dander.  Because the patented technology that is integrated into the premises Heating, Ventilation, and Cooling (HVAC) is configured to capture these enlarged atoms and molecules, the dissipation of the mold spores, bacteria, and viruses occurs.  The net effect is that the patented technology kills viruses, bacteria, and mold spores, by stealing away the hydrogen which leaves them all to die, as well as allergens and odors. Here are Lab test results.

In a test of Norovirus by Accuratus Labs, the kill rate was 93.50% in 30-minutes. In Lab tests by EMSL Analytical, the kill rate was 99.68% for E.Coli in 15-minutes, and for Legionella it was 99.71% in 30-minutes.  And, last; but, not least, in a Lab test by the Ministry of Defense in Spain, the Corona Virus kill rate was 99.40% in 10-minutes. The point being that it does not matter what pathogen, bacteria, or mold spore species that loses its hydrogen. All of them die when you suffocate their hydrogen, just like all humans die if you suffocate their oxygen.

Because this proven patented air purification technology reduces the amount of outdoor intake of fresh air required to operate standard HVAC systems, Air Handlers, and Chillers by 75% at most facilities which translates to a 10-25% reduction in their energy consumption which reduces the utility bill costs.  While the hackneyed phrase “it pays for itself” in terms of whether or not any building owner or tenant would have the capital on-hand, or a good credit standing to finance the purchase of the retrofitting of their facility with this virus eating technology, that problem itself has now been completely eliminated. Let me explain.

The problem with any energy efficiency procurement is that it either requires significant out-of-pocket capital expenditures which for most facilities are not in the budget. Financing the procurement simply puts more debt on the books.

And, the landlord or tenant also has to then incur the cost of maintaining the equipment.  This problem is eliminated by retaining the services of an Energy Management firm that conducts a free assessment of the facility to first determine how it is configured to process its indoor air environment which includes reviewing the premises current electricity and natural gas bills, as well as the specs for its heating, plumbing, and air conditioning.  It can then determine an estimated cost savings to the owner, landlord, or tenant of the building.  It can also identify additional cost savings from energy efficiency equipment that can be deployed in unison in areas like reducing HVAC Cost for Roof-Top Units (RTU’s), Voltage balancing, and LED Lighting, in the event the facility could benefit from those supplemental cost reductions.  Clients are then billed a portion of the savings in the same manner without any capital expenditure as a service on a monthly subscription basis that they are billed for Cable-TV or Cell Phone service.
