I have eyeglasses with three in one lenses for reading, watching TV, and driving.
Last week, letters looked blurred when I watched TV, while reading, and driving. I visited my optician just in case I needed new lenses. He said that I needed to do an eye test. He did and I failed miserably with my left eye. The optician was confused because of the rapid deterioration of my sight. He then said let me test your lenses.
I handed him my eyeglass. He looked at it and then burst out laughing. I could not understand why. He then said, “Please check your eyeglasses”. I looked and said, “I see no problem” He then said,” of course because it has only one lens. The left one dropped. Where is it”?
I then realized why I could not see clearly.
We fall prey to small missing things in our lives. We search big for a solution for their effects are big. We allude ourselves because the problem is big that its cause must be big too.
I would have saved myself the #predicament of failing to observe the simple cause before seeking help.
Do you have similar #stories? Please share them.
Ali, thanks for sharing. You asked for help! That’s the key to keeping things simple.
Life is only obvious after the fact that you dared to get a different perspective.
Brilliance is that you dared to share in such a clear anecdote!
Thanking you —

My dearest Professor .. VERY funny .. I had a good laugh.
Shared this .. on LI because the spiritual Truth was so obvious

My spiritual mentor dear Fay,
Thank you for commenting and sharing on LI. I wish you would provide the link to your post. I shall check your profile for it.
Ali, Priceless!! Made me laugh and I am sure I have done something similar
Glad we are in the same pot, Larry. I hope it turns to be a pot of honey
You have me giggling, Ali. But I can relate. If I don’t put my glasses at the same place on my nightstand, I have a hard time finding them the next morning. But I am lucky. My reference is my grandmother who wore -12 glasses at a time when they had all the weight of real glass.
I once tried to remove my contact lenses only to realize that they were not in my eyes. A bit more painful than your predicament, trying to pull off my cornea.
I replied earlier to your comment< Charlee. but It is missing.
I am serious. There are quite few different methods to measure the readability of a text with stats and graphics such as the link below.
https://www.webfx.com/tools/read-able/
You can also use WinWord for reviewing the quality of a text. Under review tick ABC. Make sure that under options you ticked the readability statistics box and then you are set.
I am not inventing this one my friend.
Your wisdom is my reward for sharing this post, Jeff.
Yes, I agree entirely that the solution is in the problem. How could I see a lost lens with a lost sight?
I am grateful for your appreciation.
Ali — One of the best pieces I’ve read in a long time. Short, and with an oh so sweet message. Drat, those pesky lenses.
There is a theorem in innovation science that the solution of a problem is contained in the problem itself. In this case, it’s certainly true!
