What in The World is Going On in Our Schools?
An article in today’s USAToday (Sep 11, 2014) carried this headline:
The story goes on to say that a sixth-grade teacher at McKinley Middle School in Washington, D.C., 
assigned students to make comparisons between former president George W. Bush and Adolf Hitler in a class project. According to local media, the educator had sent students home with a Venn diagram with instructions to compare and contrast Hitler and Bush, stating that “both men abused their powers.”
The article continued “D.C. Public Schools said that the teacher acknowledged poor judgment and will apologize to students. The instructor’s name was not released.”
Teachers with poor judgment teaching our children…now that’s a scary thought.
My sense is the only reason the apology was made is because they got caught…not because they think they did anything wrong…go figure.
I don’t get it…probably never will.
