Did you know that every waking moment your mind absorbs information and decides to keep it in the brain or let it slip on by?
We are exposed to visual, audio and textile sensory input every second. How are we able to process it and how does it affect our understanding of ourselves and the world we live in?
It all depends on how you were raised to accept incoming information (your beliefs) and how your brain is wired. Not everyone will digest the over 400 Billion bits of information a second the same. On average, we are only aware of 2,000 of the total taken in.
With that said, it is a miracle we are not tripping over each other all the time and can communicate intelligently and coherently. Consider this: there are roughly 6,500 spoken languages in the world today, however, about 2,000 of those languages have fewer than 1,000 speakers.
Now, let’s take this a step further. If we can be in a world of 400 Billion bits of information a second, roughly 6,500 different languages and new discoveries or inventions yearly, would that not point towards an element of something greater than ourselves?
Not so much science fiction, woo-woo, or paranormal. But, perhaps an interweaving of the seen and unseen world, the conscious and the subconscious, the known and the mysterious, imagery and concrete reality, creation and destruction, death and birth, and the endless evolution of mankind.
Within this greatness, we are the center, as in the eye of a tornado. In this position you can look all around you, there is chaos and dense fast energy. But where you stand there is complete stillness.
This is where you can observe, decide how you step into the surrounding environment, how you step back into the center, and how much time you spend digesting and processing what you experienced.
How is your brain taking this information in? Are you finding yourself thinking beyond what I am presenting here and perhaps bringing up visions, new thoughts, or causing some deep contemplation?
Morning Musings – 90 Days of Inspiration is designed to take you to higher awareness where your inner vision becomes broader, your mind develops better clarity, decision making is accompanied by confidence, and self-awareness becomes your strength.
The world is not against us, we are simply the traveler through time and space, learning and experiencing the pendulum swing of the scale of polarity. Knowledge is power, a gift we have been given as a part of just being human.
The higher your awareness, the more you realize how little you really know or how much more there is to know. Then the true quest of the soul has begun…
The beginning seems to find no ending, only rise another notch. Even at the conclusions of one’s life path, wants and desires are still present. There is an awareness that life is not over, the cycle continues to churn, taking on new growth.
An expansion stretches outwardly until nearly its breaking point, then retreats through an implosion to rebuild. This is your brain taking in all the bits of information. You know more today than the first day you were born.
I encourage you to stand in the eye of the storm daily, whatever you are looking into see it from a different perspective. Look for opportunities to learn something new, give it time to process and then determine if your awareness has increased. If you find your experiences improving, your thinking becomes more accepting, and you are feeling more relaxed, then you know you are on the right track.
Today is all we have; tomorrow is in constant formation leaping from moment to moment becoming today again. I want to leave you with the following six levels of higher consciousness as described by Michael Beckwith and Mary O’Malley:
- Life happens to you. (you feel like a victim of life)
- Life happens by you. (you try to make things happen
- Life happens in you. (you experience life through your thoughts
- Life happens for you. (no more reacting/controlling, you realize life is a highly intelligent unfolding
- Life happens through you. (you trust life, journeying back into you, life moves through you, creativity flourishes
- Life is you. (you realize, you are the universe where life is you and you are life, a living, breathing being of awareness)
