Me somewhere new.

Listen for the many
Cues that lift me up and
Give an outstretched hand.

I take the leap
And with faith
Follow where this
Trail may lead?

Or…
Do I stay just where
I am, wondering
If there are better days.

The…
Inner life has many
Threads, weaving through
The tapestry.
As I create a piece of art,
Within the mind’s eye

Something…
Stirs and comes alive.
The colors vibrant, deep
Inside.

What…
I feel can be amiss
From the external
World in front of me.

Is…
There a match or
Frayed cloth
A message for the heart?

The…
Greatness that resides
Within is a part of
Something bigger.

Only…
When the inner life
Has reached the peak
Of its arduous climb

Will…
Peace and harmony
Be alive to take
A trip along the waters
That carries the soul
To a resting place

Where…
Love is all that matters.

Awesome musing, Eileen! I think, what you’ve hinted at are the symbolic messages from the subconscious mind that our rational and logical brain learns to discern gradually over the course of time.
